flixvibora — Privacy & Terms

What FlixVibora collects, why, and how to make it stop — written to match the app's actual code, not a generic template.

Privacy Policy

applies to the FlixVibora Android app and this page

1What FlixVibora is

FlixVibora is a content-discovery app. It helps you decide what to watch tonight by learning your taste from what you swipe, watch, and rate — it does not stream or host any video itself. Tapping "watch" hands you off to the actual streaming app (Netflix, Prime Video, and so on) that already carries the title.

2Information we collect

Everything below is collected because a specific feature needs it — nothing is collected "just in case." The full breakdown is in the table further down. In short:

3How we use it

To run the app: authenticate you, remember your platform subscriptions, rank recommendations against your taste profile, and fix bugs when something breaks for a specific device or region. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising — FlixVibora currently shows no ads at all.

4Who we share it with, and where it's stored

Your account and behavioral-event data is stored with Firebase (Google Cloud), our infrastructure provider — not sold or handed to anyone for their own marketing. Our Firestore database is hosted in the asia-south1 (Mumbai) region; Firebase Authentication runs on Google's global infrastructure, which may process data outside India as part of Google's own service delivery. We also query two third-party catalog APIs (TMDB and the Streaming Availability API) to know what's playing where; those calls carry your search filters (genre, platform, etc.), never your name, email, or account ID.

5How long we keep it

Your account and behavioral-event data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (see Deleting Your Data), your login credentials and on-device data are removed immediately; historical event logs are purged as a follow-up process, not instantaneously. If an account is inactive for an extended period, we may delete its data even without a deletion request — we don't keep data indefinitely "just in case."

6Security

All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) via Firebase. Firebase manages your password directly — we never see or store it ourselves. No security measure is perfect; if we ever become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we'll notify affected users and, where required by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Data Protection Board of India, without undue delay.

7Children

FlixVibora is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age where you live), and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at 1menarmy2003@gmail.com and we'll remove it.

8Your rights, and how to raise a concern

You can access, correct, or delete your data at any time — see Deleting Your Data. If you're in India, this is also your right under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023; if you're in the EU/UK, under the GDPR/UK GDPR (which also gives you the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority). To exercise any of these rights beyond what the in-app tools cover, or to raise a grievance about how your data is handled, contact our Grievance Officer:

Grievance Officer

1menarmy2003@gmail.com
We aim to acknowledge grievances within 7 days and resolve them within 30 days, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

9Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters to you, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you in-app.

No financial info, no health data, no contacts/photos access, no advertising ID use, and no data sold to third parties — this app has no ad SDK integrated.

Deleting your data

how, and what actually happens
In the app

Account → Delete my account. This immediately deletes your login credentials and every piece of personalization data stored on your device (taste profile, swipes, watch history). It cannot be undone.

Honest caveat: your past in-app activity events (the swipes/ratings/filters log described above) are deleted from our servers as a follow-up process rather than instantaneously at the moment you tap delete. If you want that removed sooner, or you'd rather not use the in-app flow at all, email 1menarmy2003@gmail.com with your account's email address and we'll delete it by hand.

·Web-based request (no app required)

You don't need to have the app installed to request deletion — email 1menarmy2003@gmail.com from the address your account uses, with the subject "Delete my account," and we'll confirm once it's done.

Terms of Service

the rules for using flixvibora

1What you're agreeing to

By creating an account or using FlixVibora, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy above. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2The service, plainly

FlixVibora is a discovery tool: it recommends titles and tells you where they're streaming. It does not host, stream, download, or distribute any copyrighted video content. Every "watch" action opens the actual streaming platform's own app or site — you're responsible for having a valid subscription there.

3Your account

4Content accuracy

Availability, ratings, and catalog information come from third-party data sources (see Trademarks & Attribution) and can be outdated or wrong — a title's real-world availability on a given platform is the platform's call, not ours.

5Acceptable use

Don't: reverse-engineer the app to scrape the catalog at scale, attempt to access another user's account or data, or use the service for anything unlawful.

6No warranty, limited liability

FlixVibora is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted, and to the maximum extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of it — including a recommendation being wrong or a title no longer being where the app said it was.

7Changes & termination

We may update these terms (see the date at the top) or suspend an account that violates them. You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

8Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
